Plantation 2022 was successfully planted!
After months of hard work and dedication, The Walnut Fund is proud to announce that all of the walnut trees have been successfully planted! This is a major milestone for our organization and represents a significant step towards achieving our goal of creating sustainable, high-yielding walnut plantations.
Over the past several months, our team has been hard at work preparing the land for the young saplings. We worked closely with local farmers and experts to ensure that the soil was adequately tested and ready for this year’s planting window. We also conducted extensive research on the best varieties of walnuts to plant in our region, considering factors such as climate, soil quality, elevation, sun exposure and much more.
Although slightly delayed due to weather conditions, thanks to the hard work of our team members (especially Ugljesa our main Agri-engineer) we were able to safely preserve the saplings and plant them when mother nature allowed. This is an important achievement for our organization and it represents a major step forward in our efforts to promote sustainable agriculture and support local farmers.
As we celebrate this milestone, we are also excited to announce that the location of the 2023 walnut plantation will be revealed in the coming weeks. Our team is currently in the final stages of negotiations to purchase a new plot of land, and we are confident that we will be able to secure a prime location that will allow us to continue expanding our operations.
In addition to announcing the new plantation location, we are also excited to announce that the investment cycle for this year’s plantation is now open and running. This is an important opportunity for our community members to get involved in our organization and support our efforts to promote sustainable agriculture and create local jobs.
